Cathy MacDonald


Cathy Macdonald has been a member of "Artisans Northwest" since its inception in 1975 when it began as "The Art and Craft Market".

For the first 20 years she was a weaver but has transitioned into other fields. She now creates:

  • One-of-a-Kind cards using paper, fabric, beads, buttons, ribbon, yarn, etc.
  • One-of-a-Kind jewelry of metal, glass and fabric
  • Hand bound books with bead embellished spines, and covers decorated with paper, fabric, buttons, yarn and ribbon.

Cathy is also one of the original founders in 1984 of Fireweed, a retail craft and art outlet in Thunder Bay.
