Judy Morrill

I started to learn to sew in grade three in Quebec, and fell in love with the idea of creating whatever I wanted to with material. Patterns were not allowed.

My family moved to Thunder Bay in 1960 and as school uniforms were not the trend here, I began making my own clothes, and also clothes for others in high school.

After a lifetime of working with dogs and horses, I have established my own line of handcrafted dog accessories, under the name of JudyMade. My products are noted for their strength in construction and durability, and are made with quality Canadian and North American purchased materials. JudyMade products are available at my shop, The Dog House in Thunder Bay, and at various shows and markets throughout the region.

My line includes leashes and collars, beds, hunt vests, coats and booties, toys, and folding bowls. I also make totes and bags and pretty well anything you I can think of for the person owning and travelling with dogs.

In the last few years, I have found that my beds make ideal wheelchair pads and stadium seats, so now I make walker bags and seat pads, using the same heavy unreal lambskin.

Please feel free to stop by often and see what is new in The Dog House for your special pet. My warm winter coats are mostly featuring my new Blizzard Fleece, which is Canadian manufactured and good to -40 degrees!!

Soft Child Toys

After twin grandsons entered our lives, I started to make kids toys for them and became so enamoured with them, I just carried on making them in my spare time for other children to enjoy.

The ideas at first came from the kids. Then they would just pop into my mind and I would make up a pattern. These toys have no hard parts, are washable, stuffed with baby safe poly, and of course made with a 'Touch of Love'.
